Stop Anti-Asian Violence
For the record, I’m white and deeply offended by the violence against Asian Americans. (I was equally outraged by the murder of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, other African Americans and Jewish Americans.)
Holistic Religion, Holistic Church and I stand firmly against ignorance, “racial supremacy”, racial discrimination and violence of any kind.
There are cultural, racial and religious differences between us (to name just a few). There is NO difference in the value of human life, regardless of race, ethnicity or nationality! Look at the science, there isn’t any one superior race.
We think, feel and react the same regardless of our origins. We have the same needs; the same hopes; the same priorities in life.
Let me state for the record, I don’t believe that all people are equal. For starters, women are different than men; one individual is different from another. Appearance makes us different. Gender makes us different. Age makes us different. Education and finances make us different. Race makes us different. Does any of it mean that one life is worth more or less than another? NO!
In essence, we are the same people. We all have histories, experiences and we all are survivors.
I’d like to emphasize that African Americans, Asian Americans, Jewish Americans and Armenian Americans (among others) survived and overcame more than white Americans. The “minorities” and / or newcomers have proven to have more resilience, perseverance and abilities than we do. They had to learn a new way of life, master a new language, learn to survive and succeed in our country. They had to and did, most of us didn’t.
We all share similar values: family, education, advancement. We all experience disrespect, pain, disease, or hunger the same way.
As a pastor of Holistic Church, I’d like to hope that we were all taught some basics of right and wrong. One of the basics is respect for others and in particular, women and the elderly. (Skin color, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, etc. are no exceptions.) Apparently however some people failed to learn about the sanctity of human life, respect for women and the elderly…

The white hooligans and murderers do NOT represent the majority of Americans. I, the Holistic Church and its Congregation condemn anti-Asian hate, along with all other hate crimes and acts of violence.
